18, the catalogue, and a few other books as displayed at the launch event

Last night was the launch event for the Queensland Writers Center’s Books From Our Backyard catalogue.

The Books From Our Backyard catalogue contains a massive list of books by Queensland authors, covering every genre, from children’s to ya, romance to thriller, literary to non-fiction, and – most importantly – science fiction, fantasy and horror.

I’m delighted to inform you all that Vision Writers anthology ’18’ is included in the catalogue. Myself and Talitha Kalago attended the launch event and had a wonderful time talking with fellow authors, QWC staff,  agents, and editors who attended.

The books featured in the catalogue will remain on display at the State Library Queensland, but if South Bank isn’t within reachable distance for you don’t forget 18 is available free online from:

or you can even directly download it from this site (click here to select your preferred format and download).

Nice! Great to see that our work is being included in these sorts of things.

Children of Fire is set to be published on Saturday; alas, not in time for this event. Now I have to wait until next year.
